Customer Reviews and Ratings
- “Now I have been a sports naked guy and owned a bajaj 200 ns and a couple of KTM 390s (both duke and RC). So, I never was very fond of the Enfield culture and thought that it was too slow and vibey for my taste. But what I loved about Enfields was it's classic and timeless look coupled with the modification options. Never bought one because of 2 reasons (1) Vibes and too slow for 100+ speeds and (2) Bad Brakes with NO ABS. Now when RE announced the 650 twins, I was really excited about the parallel twin engine with a 270° firing order with the ABS and timeless looks. Now I wanted the Interceptor because I am a tourer kind of guy and Gt was too committed for me. So I booked a test ride in Jaipur. On arrival, we were treated with very friendly nature and to my surprise, no one sat behind me while the test ride. The moment I started riding I was so amazed by the fact that the vibes were non-existent and the bike pulled like crazy. Brakes were amazing for a roadster bike. Everything was just perfect. I WENT THERE FOR A TEST RIDE AND ENDED UP BOOKING IT. AND I DON'T REGRET IT FOR A MOMENT. Best 3 lakhs I ever spent. WAY TO GO RE!”
- “I was in my car filling up fuel and saw behind the fuel dispenser on my left side a portion of something I have gotten myself very familiar to. Could it be? But it was...the interceptor 650. My first impression.. the excitement of seeing the interceptor in front of me... two weeks before the launch. Never have I felt so much respect for someone riding a two wheeler. The guy worked for Enfiled... I have always been happy and content with my life but for once this internal voice came from my heart, I wish I was him. Over the last few months I have been literally reading and re-reading, watching and re-watching and showing my family and friends everything on the internet about the interceptor. And i could not believe my luck at 8 am in the morning in the fuel station next to my office. So what was I doing around my office at 9 am? Well, i had gone to a marathon and had planned to go to office afterwards. So it was a big coincidence that I was there at 8 am. But then I don’t believe in coincidences so I believe it was a sign from above. By the way, I have owned the Enfield Desert Storm 500 and now the Enfield Himalayan, now I dream of owning the interceptor but then I don’t want to sell my Himalayan but also I can’t buy another bike without selling this one so the dilemma of who is your favourite child, in this case a monster machine. No model of Enfield can be your favourite because each bike has its own nature. There could be multiple traits or lack of them which I have not liked but the moment the engine revs, nothing else matters. ”
- “First long ride with the RE Interceptor 650 to Coorg after the first service. It was a big surprise for me. After riding in city for the first 500 kms, and the average mileage hovering around 22 kms in city, it returned me an impressive mileage of 33.50 km/ltr. I am sure people might doubt because it is too much from what the company has officially has claimed. But point to be noted here is it was driven under certain conditions. I didn't want to abuse the engine till first 2000 kms. (It is also described in the user manual to take utmost care during the first 2000 kms.) 1. The road to coorg was really good.. Most of the time either 5th or 6th gear. 2. Never crossed more than 100 km/hr 3. Never crossed more than 4500 rpm 4. Temperature was really cool. Never felt engine was hot. 5. Half of the distance was solo ride( we had also a car during the trip), but the pillion was more than 90 kilos :) I really wanted to check the mileage so made sure I had set my trip to 0 before filling the tank and made sure it was full tank with almost no space. When i reached Madikeri, i still had so much fuel left and it took just 8.64 litre to make it full tank again.(Pic attached). Total distance 289.9 km, fuel consumed 8.64 ltr. Average mileage 33.50 km/ltr. Overall it was a good first long ride.”
